Stanford makes money billing your insurance and are incentivized in throughly (sometimes unnecessarily) treating you. If you are healthy and a strong advocate for yourself Kaiser is great. If you have unique health needs or want your doctor to be your advocate Stanford is world renowned at being the best.

Reminder to all medical students and pre med students to not simp for midlevels. Physician led teams are the best and only options for patient safety. Ive seen to many medical students simping on twitter. This essentially shows that pre med students are being “groomed” into thinking that midlevels are equivalent to physicians. Crazy.

Ive read a lot about the surgery I got (internal fixation for comminuted femur fracture) and it’s clear the Stanford surgeons did a phenomenal job.

There are some colleges that will offer medical coding and billing degrees, but they're really not at all necessary and are way the hell more expensive and time consuming than just taking the cert courses offered by AAPC.
