Sep 9, 2011 · I'd like to edit and/or delete some of my saved scan profiles (profiles that store scan settings such as paper size, scan file type, contrast settings, etc.) in Windows 7 Fax & Scan. I use it with an HP 8200 series scanner.

I am using Windows Photo Gallery > Import from Scanner or Camera to scan documents. I have created a few different profiles in the scan dialog, but I want to get rid of some of them. Anyone know how to do this? I've tried right-clicking, pressing Delete, looked in Help, etc. etc., but I just don't see a way to organize/edit/delete these profiles.

Feb 22, 2017 · It was asked for Windows 7 and was answered for Vista, which does not show "profiles" as a button in Control panel>printers and scanners. Windows Fax and Scan does not show up there either - just the actual imaging hardware devices. Window Fax and Scan is a utility made to use WITH your hardware scanner, not a piece of hardware itself.
