As we know from season 1, Ben wasn't even supposed to be the leaper, but he leapt to save Addison because he loved her. Due to him being a leaper, he met Hannah when she was a young woman and they fell in love. But if it wasn't for Ben's love for Addison in the first place, Ben wouldn't have met Hannah in that same past timeline.

What sucks for Ben, is that if he manages to return home, he will have lost Hannah, and Addison will be married to Tom. I'm excited to find out how Ian's girlfriend's crooked boss ends up recruiting Richard Martinez to be Ben's foil in the past.
