They just use Microsoft Word, and type in the information manually, the EMA and our ARES dispatch does the same. Oct 2, 2011 · It's quite a complex piece of software (obviously) which can be kind of confusing at first but it is laid out pretty logically. Unlike the name of the software there is more than "one" solution to do things such as dispatching units in different ways, call history for residences, phone numbers etc. If you have any questions let me know.

Apr 12, 2023 · It's still interesting to listen to. Most of the detail from these dispatch 911 transmissions is probably transmitted on a CAD system from what I understand. A Law Enforcement Computer Aided Dispatch system and I guess to a Mobile Data Terminal that each Police Officer has in his or her vehicle and I'm sure it's probably on a wifi secure network.

Jan 18, 2024 · A dispatch console doesn't have to have CAD, if the dispatch center is using pen and paper to take, log, and dispatch calls. But if a dispatch center has a CAD system, chances are all of the dispatch consoles (workstations) will have a CAD terminal. The calltaker takes the 911 call and enters it into the CAD system.
