There is a big difference between commencement and graduation. There are also important instructions and deadlines that you will need to meet as you prepare to complete your program. Please review the graduation process in your student handbook prior to making plans for commencement.

Applying for Graduation. You can apply for graduation as early as 6 months prior to your anticipated conferral date. The conferral date is the date on which your degree is officially awarded, not the date you finish courses or receive academic clearance for graduation.

Jan 24, 2025 · Graduation Information APUS confers degrees 6 times a year on the first day of the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December. If you are in a certificate program, APUS awards certificates on the first day of each month.

Jan 24, 2025 · Graduation is a time for celebration! You may choose to attend the annual commencement or plan your own celebration. You may place your order for your official transcripts by logging on to your ecampus using your student ID and password.

Jan 24, 2025 · Applying for Graduation When to Submit. Students are encouraged to apply for graduation when they are 90% complete in their undergraduate program or 85% complete in their Master's level program. (Please see the Application Deadlines section, below, for specific deadline information.

Kick off your commencement weekend with a celebration in honor of our graduates! Friday, May 9, 2025 3-6 pm. This family-friendly, come-and-go event is free to attend, and we encourage graduates and guests to dress in business attire.

Graduate email invites will begin to be sent to your mycampus email address in early 2025. Those who have submitted graduation applications for the above conferrals will receive invitations.
