Cementing arts & culture as the cornerstone of downtown Portland. 2006 marked the beginning of a pivotal decade in Portland, as foundations laid at the turn of the century began to show results.

The Portland Museum of Art has more than 19,000 objects in its collection, and over the last decade has taken deliberate steps to expand the narratives it can tell through its artworks.

Featuring floral work by designers, artists, farmers, and florists from across southern Maine, the museum comes alive with fragrant blooms, extravagant displays, and incredible floral installations of all types—each inspired by an artwork from the museum’s collection.
