In that sense, I think Tesla would be in a pretty good position even compared to the other "American" car companies (which could include Honda and Toyota since they have substantial American-based manufacturing assets) as Tesla does a whole lot of "in-house" manufacturing too.

Tesla Semi is not going to replace most long-haul trucks dependent on public infrastructure. They will replace short-haul fleets that will have their own base charging every night. The long-haul and long-run are questionable now that Tesla has just fired their Supercharger team and the Semi charger network doesn't exist yet.
