Dec 15, 2021 · I check the hose and the valve cover every time I change the oil myself. The hose is on the left side of the valve cover (pointing by an red arrow on pic below). When you get a FC219 oil filler cap making sure it has a vent hole at the bottom (see pic below). I test it every time I change the oil, you should able to blow through it.

Dec 15, 2021 · They identified a possible oil leak around the rear main seal and recommended replacing the seal and cleaning the clogged PCV intake (and expanding the air intake hole). This is covered under GM Service bulletin# 14882 with extended warranty coverage for Equinox and Terrain (including my 2.4l 2013 model).

Jun 2, 2002 · After thinking about it, I’m going to leave the internal PCV orifice plugged and try an alternate PCV valve mod via the oil filler cap. See how that works. If it doesn’t, just put the fc219 cap back on and maintain the manifold orifice.
