Dec 13, 2017 · Tons of trilobites can be found in the lake in front of portal. They give decent enough oil when harvesting with axe or spino. Using a diplocaulus will maximize results and it's fun imo. Best way to get stacks of oil for early or solo tribes. Look along the walls too they get stuck in corners or ridges.

Jul 16, 2018 · I get my oil from Trilbite. Tame a spino from somewhere and just up it melee dam stat, goto the lake in the norther part of the map. There is a creek on the south eastern part of the lake that leads down to a river, there is a big metal ruin where the creek meets the river, this is the start of the harvest zone.

Dec 13, 2017 · Oil on the surface is a dangerous prospect even with a Charge Light Pet as Reapers spawn continually up there as well as seekers. During the daylight it's almost instant death! I tested this and 5 seconds of exposure almost killed me with 500 hp, broke all my hazard gear, and drained my Rock Drake from 14k hp to 3k....and that was 5 seconds...

Jan 9, 2018 · If needing oil, I found getting the trilobites was way faster. I had gotten a few dung beetles to near the start, and they were producing, just too slow for me. I have increased spawns/lvls too, not sure my stacking mod affects the poop.
