India's biggest group of retail distributors has asked the antitrust authority to investigate three quick commerce companies - Zomato's Blinkit, Swiggy and Zepto - for alleged predatory pricing, a letter showed on Sunday.

Rapid commerce has swept through the Indian retail sector in recent years. Platforms like Zepto, Swiggy's Instamart, and Zomato's Blinkit, which promise deliveries in as little as 10 minutes, have completely transformed the way Indians purchase for everyday necessities.

In a letter dated October 18, the AICPDF accused these quick commerce companies of luring customers with deep discounts and selling goods below cost, a practice known as predatory pricing.

The AICPDF is concerned that quick commerce disrupts the market with deep discounts and products sold below cost.
