Altice, Optimum's parent company, had removed all Nexstar programming in the New York area on Jan. 10 in a dispute over fees.

Nextstar and Optimum have reached a carriage deal that will restore programming to Altice customers in the United States, the companies announced Saturday. The deal comes days after NewsNation and network and local programming provided by 63 of Nexstar Media Group’s television stations in 42 markets went dark.

Nexstar’s WPIX in New York and NewsNation are among the TV properties that can no longer be seen on cable systems owned by Altice, in the latest carriage dispute to erupt in the industry. Nexstar said Friday that 63 of its local TV stations had gone dark in 42 markets around the U.

Nexstar Media Group (NASDAQ:NXST) and Altice USA (NYSE:ATUS) reached partnership agreement and all Nexstar programming has been restored to Altice USA’s Optimum TV customers. The media group has already restored programming for 2M viewers,

Altice USA has sent a letter to the Federal Communications Commission complaining about Nexstar’s handling of retransmission consent negotiations, which recently led to a blackout of 63 Nexstar stations in 42 of the cable operator’s Optimum markets.

IRVING, Texas— Following failed negotiations for a new retransmission consent agreement, 63 local TV stations in 42 markets owned by Nexstar Media Group were blacked out on Altice USA’s Optimum-branded cable systems around the country. The blackout began at 5 p.m. on Jan. 10 and also included Nexstar’s national cable news network, NewsNation.

Nexstar Media Group local stations and cable network NewsNation went dark due to the carriage dispute. Like other pay-TV operators, Altice has struggled with cord-cu
