MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) and Marriott International, Inc. (Nasdaq: MAR) announced plans to convert an iconic property on the Las Vegas Strip to the W Hotels brand within the Marriott Bonvoy® portfolio,

MGM Resorts International and Marriott International have revealed a strategic collaboration to bring the W Hotels brand to Las Vegas, US. The conversion and rebranding of the iconic property on the Las Vegas Strip property is expected to be completed later this year.

MGM Resorts International and Marriott International have announced plans to transform the Delano tower on the Las Vegas Strip into W Las Vegas by the end of 2024. The 43-story, 1,117-room property, originally called THEhotel at Mandalay Bay before being rebranded as Delano in 2014, will officially join the W Hotels portfolio under Marriott Bonvoy.

In a release on Monday, MGM Resorts International and Marriott International, Inc. announced that an iconic property will be converted to the W Hotels brand. The arrival of W Hotels has been highly anticipated since the licensing agreement was announced in July 2023.

W Las Vegas is part of the two companies’ long-term strategic licensing agreement that was announced in July 2023 and began in March of this year. The agreement added MGM Resorts International’s resorts to the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program as part of the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy .
