Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal was a fan favorite entering the season despite sitting behind at least J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards on the depth chart. In Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, though, Vidal found himself active for his pro debut with Edwards suddenly pushed to injured reserve .

One of the new wrinkles in the team's offense was the addition of rookie running back Kimani Vidal, who saw his first action of the regular season in this game. Chargers fans have been calling for this for weeks but it took Gus Edwards being placed on injured reserve to create the spot needed for Vidal.

A vocal contingent of fans has been clamoring for rookie Kimani Vidal to see the field. A healthy inactive for the majority of the season behind JK Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Hassan Haskins, Vidal has been waiting for his opportunity since Los Angeles drafted him in the sixth round this April.
