An investigation led to the seizure of 148 pounds of crystal methamphetamine found encased in stone landscape pavers, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina.
The unit was deployed to Pantego, North Carolina, 50 miles east of Pitt County, where they found the narcotics hidden in "several pallets of stone landscape pavers," according to the sheriff's office.
Officers were following up on an investigation from an arrest made in January when they said they found crystal methamphetamines hidden in pavers.
