Pete Carroll met with the media at the NFL combine for the first time as coach of the Raiders. He's clearly relishing being back on the NFL stage after a season away.

Fans of the Trojans recall Carroll playing a two-running back system mixed with NFL passing philosophies. Then a defense that watched a cat-quick front four set the tone. Raiders general manager John Spytek, however, doesn't envision Carroll's Raiders team to look like the 'Hawks or Trojans.

The Raiders learned a lot the past couple years about what’s important in a head coach. And Pete Carroll embodies those qualities.
