Midfielder Jack McGlynn scored a screamer and created another goal as an experimental United States team beat a second-string Venezuela 3-1 in a friendly on Saturday. The USA looked the brightest with Miljevic and the 21-year-old McGlynn both influential in midfield and it was the latter who opened the scoring in the 37th minute in spectacular fashion.

Jack McGlynn, Patrick Agyemang and Matko Miljevic scored their first career international goals as the U.S. men's national team kicked of 2025 with a 3-1 exhibition rout of Venezuela in South Florida.

Matko Miljevic connects from just outside of the box to give the USMNT a 3-0 lead over Venezuela.

With the majority of the USMNT's stars stuck in Europe, this win was executed largely by Major League Soccer players, many of whom were playing for the USMNT for the first time.
