NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a woman died crossing a road in Lee County.

Drivers trying to get to North Beach or Portland will now take the right lane to 181 as they had for years before a temporary detour.

"Ultimately on the downstream of this there will be improved mobility regionally, but it's going to take a bit of time to get there," said CTRMA.
