Panda craze has once again gripped Hong Kong as residents compete to name the territory’s first locally-born giant panda cubs who just turned six months old

Hong Kong has called on members of the public to help name the city’s first locally-born giant panda cubs. The cubs are twins and turned six months old on Saturday, an occasion that was also marked by their first public appearance. They are kept at Ocean Park, which now houses the largest number of pandas in captivity outside mainland China.

Hong Kong’s baby panda twins made their public debut on Sunday, with officials rolling out a full-scale panda marketing campaign to boost tourism. The pair, one female and one male, were born six months ago and join four other pandas at the city’s Ocean Park theme park.
