Immigrant communities in Kern County, California, are on edge as the U.S. Border Patrol has been seen conducting enforcement operations throughout the region this week.

Community leaders are emphasizing that local law enforcement -- the Kern County Sheriff's Office and Bakersfield Police Department -- aren't doing anything.

While we're still awaiting a full, official statement from Border Patrol as of airtime, 17's Jenny Huh spoke with one agent on-the-ground who said it's not a widespread roundup.
