The Guardians have prioritized adding to their rotation all winter long. Now, they’re adding some experience to their bullpen. The Guardians and free agent reliever Paul Sewald agreed on a one-year contract with a mutual option for 2026,
Paul Sewald joins Guardians’ bullpen on $7 million guaranteed contract
The Guardians will pay Sewald a guaranteed $7 million, which includes a $1 million signing bonus, a $5 million base salary for 2025 and a $1 million buyout. The mutual option is worth $10 million. There is also $500,000 in performance bonuses.
