The No. 2 Auburn Tigers may have the best roster in college basketball top to bottom, and after defeating the Texas Longhorns to improve to 14-1 and win their seventh straight game on Tuesday night, they may just move into the No.

Johni Broome racked up 20 points and 12 rebounds as No. 2 Auburn held on for an 87-82 win over Texas in a Southeastern Conference game on Tuesday in Austin, Texas.

With Auburn basketball's win over Texas on Tuesday, Bruce Pearl became the winningest coach in program's history, amassing 214 wins in 11 seasons.

Auburn was led to victory by Johni Broome and Miles Kelly. Broome had 20 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Kelly had 18 points and shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Three other Tigers put up double-figures: Baker-Mazara had 16 points and Denver Jones and Tahaad Pettiford each added 10.

The No. 2 Auburn Tigers will visit Texas on Tuesday for just their second true road game of the season. The Tigers did not fare well on their first road trip, falling at No. 4 Duke, 84-78, on Dec. 4 in the ACC-SEC Challenge.

Now is not the time, as the man himself said Saturday, but at some point in the not-too-distant future, Auburn is going to have to make a decision about Bruce Pearl. How do you honor the best basketball coach in school history?
