Dozens of North Dakota hospitals and health care centers across the state recently received $27.4 million to purchase more than 200 ultrasound imaging devices and train the local sonography workforce.

A new, state-of-the-art ultrasound machine is set up in a private room at the center where pregnant women can peek at their growing babies while a medical doctor can determine any causes for concern.
