The chances that an asteroid hits Earth in 2032 are now at their highest since the object was first discovered, according to NASA.

NASA has reported that an asteroid, named 2024 YR4, now has a 3.1% chance of striking Earth on December 22, 2032, a threat it calls the most significant ever recorded by modern forecasting,

The odds that asteroid 2024 YR4 could hit Earth in 2032 recently spiked from a little more than 1% to 2.3% as more observations are made.
