An investigation has found that hundreds of fire hydrants spanning throughout Los Angeles may be in need of repair, despite being flagged by firefighters for maintenance as far back as a year ago.

The Ellsworth Fire Department is calling on residents for assistance keeping the community safe by “adopting” a fire hydrant.
