Google has announced a performance upgrade for Google Sheets aimed at speeding up common tasks like pasting data and loading spreadsheets.

Google today touts the following speed improvements for “everyday actions”: Pasting data is now up to 50% faster when you’re pasting from one spreadsheet to another This translates to helping users “work faster and more efficiently in a variety of scenarios.” A small business owner can quickly see their data load.

First up, when you're pasting data from one spreadsheet to another, the process will be 50% faster. In addition, setting filters, which only show data from a certain range, is getting 50% faster. Across the board, Google says Sheets will now load existing data 30% faster.

Google announced that it had managed to double the speed of calculations performed inside Google Sheets in its own Chrome browser as well as Microsoft Edge, shaving sig
