Macdonald won a Feature Documentary Oscar for 2000’s One Day in September which follows the 1972 Munich Summer Olympic Games when Palestinian terrorist group Black September held Israeli athletes hostage. Macdonald has also directed such feature films as The Mauritanian, The Eagle, the Oscar winning The Last King of Scotland, and Black Sea.

Kevin Macdonald’s Venice and Telluride premiere One To One: John & Yoko has been picked up by Dogwoof for release in the UK-Ireland. The documentary screened in the Spotlight section at Sundance yesterday (January 23). The feature will preview exclusively in Imax on April 9 and 10 before opening in cinemas nationwide on April 11.
