As the fleecing of Denver’s coordinators continues, Sean Payton needs to make keeping his QB coach a priority.

After an impressive 2024 campaign, four Detroit Lions are up for major awards. Included in that four is quarterback Jared Goff, who is a finalist for the Most Valuable Player award.

Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff and Lamar Jackson are finalists for The Associated Press 2024 NFL Most Valuable Player award. Barkley, Burrow and Jackson also are finalists for Offensive Player of the Year and Burrow is also in the running for Comeback Player of the Year.

Morton is a name that some will find familiar, as he interviewed for the OC vacancy in Campbell's first season and spent a season with the Lions in 2022 as a senior offensive analyst. His year in Detroit coincided with Johnson's first year as offensive coordinator, so he likely had some influence on the offense in its beginning stages.

ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the Lions signed Morton as offensive coordinator. The New York Times reported that the Lions signed Morton, citing a league source. NFL.com also reported the hiring, citing sources from NFL Network insiders Ian Rapaport and Tom Pelissero.
