Four games since his return, the Ducks' skilled forward is blending new defensive impact and old offensive brilliance

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Trevor Zegras was back in action for the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night, taking shifts for the first time in nearly seven weeks. The omnipresent question that follows the playmaking forward is how much longer he will play for them.

Zegras returns to the lineup after missing 22 games with a knee injury, but Florida beats the Ducks for the second time in four days, 5-3, handing them their seventh loss in eight games.

Trevor Zegras hasn't played a game for the Anaheim Ducks since December 4, but that should be changing on Tuesday night.

Since signing his bridge deal with the Anaheim Ducks back in 2023, Trevor Zegras has dealt with the injury bug. The 23-year-old has only played 56 games in the past two seasons due to multiple lower-body injuries.

The Anaheim Ducks entered the 2024-25 NHL season with cautious optimism. With a blend of promising young talent and veteran leadership, there was hope this season would mark a step forward in their rebuild.
