A sure sign of spring is Sunday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Fox Lake. Each year, the streets are lined with Dodge County residents who come to Fox Lake for the tradition that started 52 years ago. The parade began in 1973 with a conversation at Casey’s Tavern and has been a popular event ever since.

Emporia is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, with the route running along Commercial Street between 4th and 12th avenues. The parade’s lineup will be located in the 300 block of Commeercial street and the 10 block of W.
