The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called to investigate how a man died after being arrested by Memphis police officers Tuesday morning.

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found Thursday morning in southwest Memphis. Officers received a man-down call at 10:39 at West Shelby Drive and Southaven Road. A man was found at the scene and taken in critical condition to Methodist South,

Memphis Police (MPD) said officers responded to a shooting on South Parkway East off Latham Street and found a man had been shot. He was in critical condition when he was rushed to Regional One Health, police said. Police said Wednesday morning that the man had died.
