Quiet weather will rule the day with highs coming back up a little bit from Wednesday. We expect a partly to mostly sunny sky with highs around 25 degrees and a southwest wind at 5 to 10 mph. Despite being about 5 degrees below normal, it’ll be a quiet January day!

While it may begin as a rain/sleet/snow mix, snow will overspread much of North Texas through the day and continue Thursday night. The snow may be heavy at times. Two to five inches is possible. Some locations may receive more than five inches of snow (especially farther north).

Temperatures have fallen into the low to mid-10s out the door Wednesday morning. Some clouds have rolled back in, slowing the drop off, but we’re still a good 10 degrees colder in spots from Tuesday morning.
