The extension of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's recent visit to Pakistan gave some momentum to the India-Pakistan ties which have been on pause mode for a decade.

India and Pakistan have renewed the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement for five years. The corridor allows Indian devotees to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan.

The extension of the agreement, thanks to the efforts of the government and PM Modi, will give Sikh pilgrims access to the Gurudwara Kartapur Sahib for the next five years.

The agreement that allows visa-free travel for Indian pilgrims to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan via the Kartarpur Corridor has been renewed until 2029. The pact was signed between the two countries in October 2019,

India and Pakistan have extended the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement for another five years, ensuring uninterrupted access for Indian pilgrims to the holy Gurdwara in Pakistan while urging the removal of the $20 service charge.

This decision will ensure the continued operation of the corridor, enabling Indian pilgrims to visit the sacred Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan

India, Pakistan have agreed to extend the validity of the Agreement on the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for an additional 5 years. The Agreement, signed on 24 October 2019, facilitated pilgrimages from India to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan.
