The Los Angeles Lakers were trying to get a new center when they got rid of Anthony Davis. The Lakers had a trade agreed upon to acquire Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets. In that trade, the Lakers were willing to part ways with rookie Dalton Knecht. Once they saw the physical from Williams, they rescinded the trade.

Los Angeles (41-25) defeated Phoenix (31-37), 107-96, Sunday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Former Vol Dalton Knecht played 16 minutes for the Lakers. He recorded three points and two rebounds. Knecht converted 1-of-5 field goal attempts and 1-of-3 three-point attempts.

Dalton Knecht registered his second 30-point game on Friday to help lead the short-handed Lakers in a loss on the road against the Nuggets.
