The new AP Top 25 college football poll is out. Week 7 featured two classic rivalries in Oklahoma-Texas and Florida-Tennessee and three matchups of ranked teams. The No. 1 Texas Longhorns started slow before pulling away for a 34-3 win.

The AP Top 25 went through a major shakeup for the second straight week as Oregon shocked Ohio State to rise to No. 2. Additionally, LSU jumped five spots to No. 8 after beating Ole Miss in overtime and Iowa State reached the top 10 for the first time since 2021.

Four games involving ranked teams were decided in overtime. Four other games involving ranked were decided by three points or fewer. That opened room for Army and Navy.
