St. Paul International Airport to Washington D.C.'s Reagan National Airport have been canceled on Thursday after Wednesday night's tragic collision involving a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines commercial airliner over the Potomac River.

St. Paul International Airport and Washington D.C.'s Reagan National Airport have been canceled following the deadly collision between a passenger plane and an Army helicopter over the Potomac River on Wednesday night.

Twenty-seven bodies had been recovered from the downed plane, a Bombardier CRJ700 operated by PSA Airlines, and one had been recovered from the helicopter, a Sikorsky H-60, said the D.C. Fire and EMS Chief.
