Ohio’s newest U.S. Senator will be sworn in Tuesday afternoon. Jon Husted, who served six years as Ohio’s lieutenant governor, was chosen by Gov. Mike DeWine last week to replace JD Vance, who resigned the Senate seat to become vice president.

J.D. Vance had four years left on his Senate term before he resigned from his seat. Jon Husted is expected to take his place.
