Home to nearly 300,000 residents, North Las Vegas is gearing up to build Hylo Park, a mixed development. Shovels in dirt marked the start of construction Tuesday morning.

The new Hylo Park project sits on the empty 73-acre lot where the Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station casinos once stood, with an expected completion date of 2027.
