Disney Cruise Line is generally considered to be more expensive than its main competitor Royal Caribbean. Although their styles and costs differ, both cruise lines design their ships with family vacations in mind and offer a variety of family-friendly amenities.

Royal Caribbean Group has signed an agreement with Chantiers de l'Atlantique to order a sixth Edge Series ship for delivery to Celebrity Cruises in 2028. Edge 6 or “Xcel 2” will be the sister-ship to Celebrity Xcel, which is preparing to take its inaugural sail later this year.

The basics: To earn an instant certificate on Royal Caribbean cruises, you accrue points as you gamble. If you are playing slot machines, you earn one point for every $5 of bets you make. Disney Cruise Line has increased its recommended gratuity rates. The cruise line’s base rate is now $16 per person each day, including infants and children, according to its website – up from $14.50.
