A crane on Tuesday carefully lifted the track piece that Cedar Point hopes will strike terror among thrill seekers this summer. Construction crews, using a large crane, lifted the signature "tilt" track piece of the park's new Siren's Curse roller coaster into place.

The 'tilt track' is the signature element of the new Siren's Curse coaster, tilting riders into a 160-foot-tall, 90-degree vertical position for the first drop.

The 45-ton, 61-foot-long tilt section of track is the ride’s signature terrifying element. It teeters the coaster’s train into a 90-degree vertical position before locking into place and releasing riders onto the 2,966 feet of twisting track below.
