A 15-year-old girl, Vaishnavi Rawal, was tragically killed by a Northbound train at Saphale railway station in Palghar while crossing the tracks with earphones on, unaware of the approaching train.

The deceased from Makne village in the district, was crossing the tracks when she was knocked down by the Kochuveli-Amritsar Superfast Express train.
