A child is dead after falling from a Winnipeg apartment building on Monday. According to the Winnipeg Police Service, the incident took place in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue when a child fell from a 19th-storey window. The child was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

A child died Thanksgiving Day after falling from a highrise apartment building in Winnipeg. Police say the four-year-old fell from a 19th-floor window of the 20-storey building around 5 p.m. on Monday. The building, known as Cumberland House, is near the corner of Cumberland Avenue and Carlton Street in the city's Central Park neighbourhood.
