Limp Bizkit sues Universal Music Group for $200 million in unpaid royalties, alleging deliberate withholding and fraudulent accounting practices.

The band claims that the music conglomerate intentionally designed its system that calculates royalties to prevent artists from recouping advances.

Universal Music Group ultimately paid the band $1.03 million and gave an additional $2.3 million to Durst's Flawless Records, but the court documents allege they are owed more money. The band parted ways with Interscope Records in 2011, releasing their seventh album with Suretone Records.

In a Limp Bizkit lawsuit, the band sued Universal Music over $200 million in royalties, saying it had “not seen a dime in royalties" from the label.

The suit contends that despite Limp Bizkit selling millions of albums, the group has never received any royalties from UMG.
