As the Philadelphia region remained under a winter weather advisory for possible rush hour snowfall Friday, forecasters continued to look toward what stands to be a more impactful storm Sunday into Monday.

The new year is starting out with a one-two punch of winter weather in the Philadelphia region with light snow expected to cause slippery roads during the Friday evening rush hour and a bigger storm expected to impact the area on Monday.

A dusting of snow on Friday will serve as the preview to a much larger winter storm days later that could dump several inches on parts of the Philadelphia-area.
