Across the internet, skiers and snowboarders swore off buying an Epic Pass and Vail Resorts (MTN) stock after Park City Mountain buckled under the weight of the holiday crush, a storm and a ski patrol and safety worker strike.

The Utah resort apologized over the disruption and is offering credits to pass holders, while skiers are suing Vail Resorts over the bad experience.

Skiers and snowboarders who visited PCMR during the strike will receive credits towards the purchase of a pass next season.

Ski patrollers at the biggest U.S. ski resort say they have reached a deal with Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort to end a strike that put a wrench in operations during the busy holiday season.

Strike centers on more than starting wages, as holiday pay, health coverage pay and increases based on experience and inflation at issue. Park City Mountain Resort’s longstanding image as a premier ski and snowboard destination in the United States is taking a hit as a contentious ski patrol strike drags into a second week.

Vail Resorts says it will offer a discount on next year's pass to anyone who skied or snowboarded at Park City Mountain during the patrol strike between Dec. 27 and Jan. 8.
