Kansas Jayhawks senior big man Hunter Dickinson noticed something odd floating down from the rafters of Addition Financial Arena, home of the UCF Knights, during KU’s basketball shootaround on Saturday night.

The Kansas Jayhawks lost their first conference opener since the 1990s on New Year's Eve, and they take to the road to try and wash off the memory of that game. Unfortunately for them, the location is Orlando, where the Jayhawks suffered a huge upset in the first season that the UCF Knights were in the Big 12.

The Kansas men’s basketball team went up 35-19 with 3:45 remaining in the first half at Addition Financial Arena on Jan. 10, 2024; back in the same building on Sunday, the Jayhawks led 35-19 with 3:50 remaining in the first half.
