The Supreme Court has closed the case of illegal confinement against Isha Foundation, after two women testified they are living at the ashram voluntarily and without coercion.

The top court had then asked cops to file a status report before it, as directed by the Madras HC. The habeas corpus petition filed before the HC by a man alleging illegal confinement of his daughters at the Isha Foundation has also been transferred to the Supreme Court.

The Tamil Nadu Police in a report submitted to the Supreme Court, has said that in the last few years some missing persons complaints relating to the Isha Yoga Centre have been filed, but the probe revealed that out of six persons missing from the centre,
