Internet Archive Finally Returns (In Read-Only Mode) After Devastating Hack
The Internet Archive came back online for users Monday evening after almost two full weeks of being unavailable following an attack on Oct. 8 that exposed the fact that hackers had stolen sensitive data from millions of users.

Because the hacker just responded to Mashable's email that we went to the Internet Archive to find out more about the hack. The hacker was able to respond via Internet Archive's Zendesk, an online service that helps companies respond to users' support queries.
The Internet Archive Has Been Breached, Again
The Internet Archive has suffered another data breach after a threat actor took possession of the email addresses of the people who submitted support requests. The hackers responsible for the latest data breach are sending replies to Internet Archives Zendesk support tickets to demonstrate that the site suffers from security problems.
