FEMA again extends hotel vouchers for thousands of WNC residents displaced by Helene
This is the third extension FEMA has granted displaced residents using the agency’s Transitional Sheltering Assistance program in the last week. The agency most recently granted a 48-hour extension, citing the winter storm that barreled through WNC Jan. 10, with check-out slated for Jan. 14.

FEMA’s Transitional Sheltering Assistance program has extended its current hotel vouchers for Hurricane Helene victims through Jan. 25. Current hotel occupants can remain in their lodging under the program through the night of Jan.
