A brush fire was reported just before 10 a.m. in Fallbrook in North San Diego County on Friday. Visuals from the Alert California cameras showed large plumes of black smoke rising from the neighborhood.

Cal Fire crews are responding to a brush fire that broke out Friday morning in Fallbrook. The fire — referred to as the Mission Fire — was first reported just after 10 a.m. in the area of Overland Trail and Mission Road.

A late-morning brush fire blackened about five open acres and leveled an outbuilding Friday in a neighborhood just east of Camp Pendleton, authorities reported.
