Dug McDaniel scored a season-high 24 points and Kansas State beat No. 13 Arizona 73-70 for its sixth straight victory — four against ranked opponents.

Arizona made just 2 of 21 3-pointers and had 17 costly turnovers in a 73-70 loss to Kansas State in a battle of Big 12 Wildcats at Bramlage Coliseum on Tuesday. The loss snapped UA’s six-game winning streak and dropped the Wildcats to 17-7 overall and 11-2 in the Big 12.

K-State won its sixth straight game, and continued its late-season push toward the NCAA Tournament, by handing Arizona its first loss since Jan. 18. After a dismal start to the season, no team in the conference has won more consecutive games than the one that wears lavender uniforms.
